In this second book we see a lot of character development, especially with Dennis. Plenty of military situations and well written characters make this book a good read. I did take it down a star, though, as I found the acceptance of Dennis's commander that he was gay somewhat unbelievable.Product details

This story has it all. Action, adventure, romance, stressful situations, and humor. It was really interesting immersing myself in the mindset of a brave military man who just happens to be gay. It held my interest the entire time and I was rooting for all of them the whole time.
A good story that I enjoyed. It was well written, and the characters was wonderful. This us the first book I have read by this author, but not the last.

Great story line! I only wish Adler was the one he was with in the end. Kept me turning pages until the end.
What a powerful book. Loved it! Unexpected plot twists with thoughtfully developed characters. A highly recommended read. Didn't want it to end.
Overall, I enjoyed Silent Moon. It is a short, easy read. I thought the premise was good, and the execution very good through the first half, or so. Some of what happened in the second half seemed forced and/or unrealistic, however. The book is written in third person, following the two main characters, an American Marine and a South Sudanese young man. I prefer this way of writing to alternating first person.
